Museum of Earthenware
About
- Pets allowed
The potters who prospered in Varages, where they found water, clay and wood, began from 1695 onwards to give way to the faience makers.
Beyond the artistic and historical quality of the collection, rich in more than a thousand pieces from the 17th to the 21st century, the museum emphasizes the man, his history, his experiences, his knowledge. It traces this uninterrupted earthenware tradition for more than three centuries.
The ground floor is dedicated to the techniques of earthenware production. While the upper floors display the collection of earthenware representative of the Varages earthenware tradition.
