The Winegrowers' Trail of Rognes
About
Starting from the cooperative winery, the Winegrowers' Trail offers two routes: the Cooperators' Loop (18km) and the Chapel Loop (a 6km family walk). Discover the vineyards, rural heritage, and geology of Rognes.
Located on a plateau at an altitude of 300 to 400 meters, between the Côtes and Trévaresse mountain ranges, near the Durance River, the commune of Rognes offers hikers a spectacular display of geological, floral, and faunal diversity. This spectacle unfolds from the numerous panoramic viewpoints along the hiking trails. This exceptional geological landscape gives Rognes a unique wine-growing character and promises a first-rate oenological experience. While viticulture is a millennia-old tradition, the stone extracted from ancient quarries has also contributed to Rognes's prestige. Indeed, hikers will discover a territory that has preserved, through its sacred heritage, the traces of a rich past.
