When the elegance of opera meets the freedom of jazz!

Four soloists from the Paris National Opera Orchestra offer a unique musical encounter blending classical virtuosity with the freedom of jazz. This original project was born around the famous "Suite for Cello and Jazz Trio" by pianist and composer Claude Bolling, an emblematic work that skillfully combines classical composition and jazz improvisation.

Cellist René Benedetti worked on this piece directly with Claude Bolling before the latter recorded it with the legendary Yo-Yo Ma. Following a concert shared with drummer Guy-Joël Cipriani, the idea arose to bring together several soloists from the Paris National Opera Orchestra to create an ensemble capable of fostering a dialogue between two often separate musical worlds: classical tradition and the energy of jazz.

The Jazz Opéra group was thus formed: four exceptional musicians who share the same musical rapport and the same joy of performing. Their program offers an elegant and vibrant musical journey, alternating moments of virtuosity, inspired improvisations, and iconic works from the repertoire.

Evening program:
6:30 PM – Welcome
7:00 PM – Complimentary glass of wine tasting, food available on site with food trucks
8:30pm – Concert begins. Duration approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.
