Guided tour: The Argentière mine

About

Discover the most important zinc deposit in Europe from the late 19th century and a gallery preserving earlier mining remains.

On the occasion of the European Heritage Days, discover a hidden side of the Var coastline: the most important zinc deposit in Europe at the end of the 19th century, which gave rise to the town of La Londe les Maures.
A visit to an old mining gallery will immerse you in both the world of modern miners and the first operators who gave rise to the toponym l'Argentière.
