Some remains dating from the Gallo-Roman period attest to the antiquity of the place.
An exceptional terroir, at an altitude of 364 meters sheltered from prevailing winds, the vines grow on arid, stony, south-facing slopes in clay-limestone soil. Thanks to a consistent microclimate, mitigating spring frosts and regulating the intense summer heat.
The wines of Château des Chaberts possess a distinctive character. Their intense aromas are complemented by the structure and roundness imparted by their generous terroir. Crafted with the utmost respect for tradition and a constant focus on quality, they are recognized each year by the most prestigious professional wine competitions, including those in Paris, Macon, and Vinalies, not to mention the Hachette Wine Guide.
The main grape varieties of the appellation are present on the estate: the white wines are made from Rolle, Sémillon, and Clairette; the rosés from Grenache and Cinsault. Mourvèdre, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Grenache are blended for the production of the red wines.
Organic red, rosé, and white wines. Traditional method sparkling wine. Organic olive oil.
