About
Domaine de la Vivonne is located on the ascent to the medieval village of Castellet and close to the sea.
Establishment of the Estate: 1904
Area: 25 ha
Production: approximately 1000 hl.
Average age of the vines: 30 years
Yield: 35 to 40 hl/ha
Soil: sandy silt on marly limestone
Grape varieties: Mourvèdre, Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Rolle
Aging: Oak casks for the reds, enamelled vats for the rosés and whites.
Location: Around the building, there are vineyards planted on terraces. The majority of our Mourvèdre vines are on terraces.
Modernization work has been undertaken since its acquisition in 2011, in order to remain one of the jewels of the Bandol vineyard.
The vineyard: We perpetuate a traditional culture with manual harvesting.
The land is plowed without herbicides or synthetic fertilizers.
These vines are pruned and fruited to leave only one bunch per shoot expressing its full essence.
We have one of the finest collections of Old Vintages dating from 1979 onwards.
