About
Located in the commune of La Crau, Château les Mesclances is an organic wine estate spanning 33 hectares of vineyards and olive groves. The Villeneuve Bargemon family, owners since 1802, produces Côtes de Provence AOP wines.
Located at the foot of the Massif des Maures, the estate has been in the family since 1530! It comprises three terroirs and benefits from a maritime influence:
- schist on the hillsides for the Côtes de Provence and Côtes de Provence La Londe PDOs,
- Quaternary alluvium deposited by the two rivers Gapeau and Réal Martin, for the IGP Méditerranée.
The name of the place, Mesclances, derived from the Provençal word "Mescla", owes its name to the meeting of these two rivers at the end of the property.
Born from this biodiversity, our wines offer a beautiful aromatic expression. A wide range of wines is available in our recently renovated cellar.
