A very old wine estate, producing high-quality organic terroir wines in 3 colors: red, white and rosé under the Côteaux Varois appellation.
95 % of our vineyard is cultivated in AOP Coteaux Varois en Provence, the remaining 5 % produce Vin de Pays de la Sainte Baume Blanc (viognier).
The annual production allows for the marketing of approximately 100,000 bottles divided into 65 % of rosé, 25 % of red and 10 % of white.
Since 1990, Château Trians has prioritized respect for nature with traditional farming methods, sustainable agriculture, and limited yields in order to produce wines that fully express the characteristics of our terroir.
From 2008 onwards, the choice to switch to Organic Farming became a natural continuation of this philosophy, and since 2012, in accordance with the new rules of organic winemaking, our wines have been labeled organic.
The Trians terroir is characterized by its clay-limestone scree and stony soil, known as "gravettes." Thanks to its north-northwest exposure and an altitude of 320 meters, this terroir promotes a slow ripening of the grapes. The vines are protected from excessive heat and sun, which preserves the aromas and freshness of the grape varieties.
Our estate, traditionally a producer of age-worthy red wines, sold after two or three years of aging in oak casks, is particularly renowned for its reds.
Now recognized for the quality of its wines in all 3 colors, thanks to the regularity of its medals obtained in the most prestigious wine competitions and its notable ratings in wine guides, Château Trians has become over the decades an essential and reliable value in the Côteaux Varois appellation.
Our white and rosé wines are distinguished by their freshness, minerality and length on the palate throughout the year.
Our aromatic red wines with silky tannins age beautifully over time.
Charming 4 and 5 star cottages with swimming pool in recently renovated historic buildings and reception room.
