Bargemone Estate

Located in the heart of Provence, Domaine Bargemone enjoys a pristine environment. Its organically farmed vineyard covers 120 hectares in the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation. The team, led by Pierre Einaudi, warmly welcomes you.

The estate's history dates back to the 13th century and centered around a Templar commandery. This commandery was a place of major importance to the Templars, comprising a complex of buildings used for rest, prayer, and military training. The knights were already cultivating vines there.

Following the dissolution of the Knights Templar, the property subsequently belonged to several families of the Provençal nobility. Among them was the Count of Baux, or Thomassin Bargemon, who gave his name to the estate.

In 1968, Jean-Pierre Rozan replanted vines after they had been decimated by the Phylloxera disease, and initiated the vineyard as we know it today.

In September 2019, our family, the Einaudi family, acquired Bargemone with the desire to continue the work of generations of winemakers who belonged to the family and whom the living remember with tenderness and pride.

It is Pierre Einaudi, grandson and great-grandson of winemakers, who is developing the estate today, supported by his parents and a whole team of passionate experts.

Together, they are breathing new life into the estate through a constant pursuit of excellence and a desire to make Bargemone a true ecosystem, far beyond organic farming. Their aim is to participate in the essential ecological transition while offering the pleasure of tasting and sharing truly great wines of Provence.
