In Cogolin, the Domaine de la Giscle has flourished for six generations. Crossed by the stream from which it takes its name, this family vineyard cultivates around fifty hectares with passion, blending ancestral know-how and modern techniques.
Discover Domaine de la Giscle, a family-run wine estate nestled on the southern slopes of the Massif des Maures in Cogolin, in the heart of the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Located just a few kilometers from the sea and close to historic villages such as Grimaud with its medieval remains, this estate benefits from exceptional terroir and a rich history spanning six generations.
Since the 19th century, the Audemard family has perpetuated Provençal tradition on nearly 50 hectares of vineyards. The estate takes its name from the Giscle, a stream flowing through the land, a symbol of the balance between nature, heritage, and passion. This respect for the terroir and this family commitment are reflected in each vintage, blending authenticity, innovation, and expertise passed down through generations.
Upon arriving at the estate, you will cross the vineyard surrounded by magnificent scenery and discover farm buildings housing an old flour mill, a vestige of a rich agricultural past. Once in the cellar, equipped with both cutting-edge technology and traditional elements such as 180 oak barrels and antique casks, you will be immersed in the art of winemaking. Natural climate control in the cellars, automated sorting by plot, and computerized fermentation management guarantee optimal quality.
For our AOC wines, we cultivate renowned grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Rolle, Cinsault, Grenache, Mourvèdre, Syrah, and Tibouren. In addition to our AOC wines, we also produce IGP wines, made from grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, and Merlot, which add a touch of diversity and elegance to our selection.
Visitors are invited to taste a diverse range of wines, from powerful and elegant reds to delicate and fruity rosés, as well as fresh and aromatic whites. Each tasting takes place amidst the barrels in a vaulted cellar unique in the region, offering an immersive sensory experience. A dedicated room also displays antique tools, bearing witness to the family history.
