A family story spanning three generations.
The Malard family has been rooted in the world of wine for three generations, and this passion, born in Champagne, continues to be passed down and perpetuated today. Guided by their love of the craft, a new challenge is taking shape in Provence.
In the 1990s, Jean-Louis Malard began developing his own Champagne wines. He quickly became a major player in the Champagne region. A wine enthusiast and entrepreneur at heart, he is always looking for new challenges related to his passion.
Attached to this region and the quality of the wines produced there, the acquisition of Domaine de La Maïonnette is the culmination of a long search and meticulous work.

Domaine de La Maïonnette practices sustainable viticulture. The vines are cultivated without any herbicides in order to preserve biodiversity and living organisms as much as possible. Soil cultivation is done mechanically using plows.
We use sheep that graze in our plots, this avoids the passage of tractors and thus soil compaction and CO2 emissions.
Organic nitrogenous matter is supplied through the input of legumes.
The soil structure is controlled thanks to the addition of cereals and grasses: barley and rye, which, thanks to their roots, will limit soil erosion and runoff.
To help the vine develop in good conditions, the use of horsetail and nettle decoctions is preferred; they are sprayed on the vine and the soil, providing natural disinfection thanks to their richness in silica.
All this attention to the vines will be reflected in the wines of the estate.
