About

Spanning 62 hectares in one piece, the Domaine du Loou vineyard clings to clay-limestone soils where the harsh climate of central Var is tempered by the protection of the Loube mountain to the north and the Sainte-Baume to the west.

Traditional cultivation yields red wines made from Grenache, Syrah, and a touch of Cabernet Sauvignon, rustic in their youth but revealing their typicity with age. A distinctive feature of the estate is the vinification and aging of Mourvèdre. Particular attention is paid to the vinification of the white and rosé wines—Grenache and Cinsault—through settling and temperature control in a modern cellar.
The Domaine practices organic farming: soil work, hoeing, weeding, return to "plowing" or "Loou", treatments using only simple traditional contact products such as copper and sulfur, all this ensures respect for the environment, the health of the consumer and the natural aspect of the wine.
