Since 1805, our family has cultivated and therefore protected this valley, a unique biotope populated by a rich fauna: partridge, hare, shrew, Hermann's tortoise, fox, lizard… This natural area, a Classified Site since 1995, has recently become part of the Port-Cros National Park.
Initially, it was a self-sufficient farm, hunting and fishing, producing fruits, vegetables, grains, olive oil, and of course, wine. Over the decades, wine became the main crop. This heritage makes us fully aware of our role in the conservation of this ecosystem.
Thus, in partnership with a beekeeper, bees increase the pollination of local tree species. Sheep, which graze in the winter, maintain and fertilize the fields and forests. These actions promote biodiversity and protect local wildlife from fire and contribute to the diversification of the scrubland. This, in turn, protects our crops from pests. We naturally produce according to the principles of organic farming.
