About
Domaine viticole comptant 40 hectares de vignes, de très nombreuses prairies occupées par des ânes et des moutons, des espaces boisés comprenant les principales essences provençales. L'ensemble du domaine est en agriculture biologique et biodynamique.
In 1884, a cholera epidemic spread through the valley and miraculously stopped on our land. The inhabitants of the hamlet then decided to erect a statue of the Virgin Mary to thank her for sparing them. Thus, the Domaine Sainte-Marie was born. The lands of the Domaine then belonged to the Monastery of La Verne, located a little higher up in the Massif des Maures.
The vineyard now comprises 40 hectares of vines, numerous meadows grazed by donkeys and sheep, and wooded areas featuring the main Provençal tree species. The entire estate is farmed organically and biodynamically. It is certified High Environmental Value level 3 (the highest level).
More than 10 grape varieties are cultivated there: Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Muscat, Tiburen, Clairette, Rolle, Ugni-Blanc. This allows for a wide selection of wines to be offered for tasting.
The estate offers free wine tastings. It also offers cellar tours, mountain bike rides, "artistic" walks, temporary exhibitions, and hosts private events.
