Nestled in a valley in the plain of Seillans (83440), in the heart of the canton of Fayence, the Domaine Val d'Iris produces wines in AOP Côtes de Provence, IGP du Var and Vin de France from its own harvest.
For 25 years, owner Anne Silberzahn has been developing a small, human-scale vineyard on the slopes of the valley. This high-quality terroir allows her to create luscious rosés, elegant whites, and deep, distinctive reds.
For the past ten years, cellar master Ludovic Vilcoq has supervised production and maintained the vineyard, assisted by Thomas Comito, versatile and essential at all stages of the estate.
These three enthusiasts work hand in hand to bring the Val d'Iris to life. Their credo: to cultivate a passion for wine and life, to express the identity of the terroir, to respect biodiversity and to meet the expectations of their customers.
The estate welcomes you every day except Sunday, from 11 am to 5 pm, to taste its wines and stock your cellar. The vineyard is also certified as a "Accueil Vélo" (Cyclist Welcome) site, ensuring a pleasant and bike-friendly experience.
Terre d'Estérel will obtain the Vignobles & Découvertes label in May 2024
The Terre d'Estérel destination, encompassing the towns of Fréjus, Puget-sur-Argens, Roquebrune-sur-Argens, Saint-Raphaël, and the nine towns of the Pays de Fayence, has now been awarded the "Vineyards & Discoveries" label. In total, thirteen towns make up this destination, offering exceptional landscape diversity and a comprehensive range of tourist activities. Terre d'Estérel boasts significant potential for wine tourism. This recognition marks the beginning of a fruitful collaboration between the towns, wineries, and tourism professionals, including accommodation providers, restaurateurs, outdoor and wellness activity providers, as well as our exceptional heritage sites.
The name "Terre d'Estérel" reflects the richness of the destination's natural and cultural heritage. The Estérel mountain range is the unifying element. The term "Terre" refers to the vineyard soils and the associated expertise, from winemaking to gastronomy and food and wine pairings.
