Our Lady of the Angels Loop

About

From the village of Collobrières, follow the GR90, a long-distance hiking trail that crosses the massif and will lead you to the Notre Dame des Anges Chapel, from where you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the Giens Peninsula, the Golden Islands and the Toulon harbor.,

This chapel sits atop the second highest peak in the Var region, at an altitude of 768 meters. Reaching it requires a hike of over 7 hours (round trip) on a trail with significant elevation gain.

Then go back down by taking the GR90 again to return to the village of Collobrières.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION:
Start from the stadium car park (East entrance of the village). Go to the Tourist Office, boulevard Caminat, take the old bridge towards the Confiserie Azuréenne then turn right and follow the GR90 Notre Dame des Anges.

TIPS AND RECOMMENDATIONS:
- Bring: hiking boots or sneakers, water, hat or cap.
- Always stay informed about weather conditions.
- During hunting season, stay on marked trails.
- In case of emergency, call the emergency services on 112.
- The circulation and parking of any motorized vehicle on roads used for fire prevention and control (DFCI) is prohibited year-round. From June to September, before traveling in the Var forests, check the opening conditions on the fire risk map (updated at 5 p.m. daily for the following day) or by calling the tourist office.
