La Venise Provençale operates with respect for tradition, while utilizing the most modern and efficient methods. The winery's products are also available for purchase at the Martigues Tourist Office.
Maritima Avaticorum, a Gallo-Roman city established on the current site of Martigues, marks the beginning of more than two millennia of viticulture in Provence, marked by the discovery of a vine dating from two centuries BC.
By 2025, 165 winegrowers will make up the 180-hectare vineyard, located mainly in the hamlets of Saint-Julien and Saint-Pierre. Exceptional sunshine, proximity to the sea, and a dry climate benefiting from the inlets and the mistral wind make our terroir a privileged place for growing vines.
Today, mastering production is our main focus for development. Irrigation, land management and transfer, mastering technical developments, consulting, evolving grape varieties, developing new production standards such as High Environmental Value (HVE) or Organic are all objectives and challenges that we have set for ourselves.
We also offer a selection of local bistronomic products such as the famous bottarga, olive oil, cured meats, honey and many others to share a convivial moment around our wines and discover our fine gastronomy.
We offer lively vintages with modern lines or others with more traditional aging in barrels or jars, in the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence and IGP Méditerranée appellations.
