Domaine du Clos Mirages : visite entre traditions provençales et architecture contemporaine

About

At Clos Mirages, discover with the owner and architect Hervé PAILLARD how Provençal traditions and contemporary architecture interact within a wine estate.

Is a Provençal and contemporary architecture possible?

On the occasion of the takeover in 2020 of CLOS MIRAGES, a vineyard in the Gulf of Saint-Tropez that had fallen into disuse, the owner, who is also an architect, was faced with several aesthetic and technical choices for each of the buildings of the Domaine that he built or rebuilt.
For those already having a historical trace, Hervé PAILLARD has favoured a style respectful of Provençal and Mediterranean traditions in the broadest sense.
For the construction of the bioclimatic winery, he reinterpreted traditional construction principles, adapting them to a contemporary building.
During the visit, you will discover how historical architectural techniques of yesteryear can be implemented in a resolutely modern construction, while respecting the surrounding nature.
