Roquebrune Natural Heritage Exhibition

About

An outdoor exhibition presents a series of photographs by Florian Moins, where the visitor is invited to (re)discover the emblematic reliefs, the forest massifs, the coastline and the classified or protected natural sites, such as the Roquebrune rock or the lake of the Arena.

A link between the Estérel and Maures massifs, Roquebrune boasts an exceptionally rich natural heritage. A forested commune of over 10,700 hectares, it unfolds its landscapes from north to south over nearly 27 kilometers, from the foothills of the Blavet gorges to the Mediterranean calanques, passing through the Argens plain.

This geographical diversity, shaped by a unique geology and two large forest massifs with distinct characteristics, has fostered the emergence of remarkable biodiversity. Pine forests, maquis, cork oak forests, garrigue and wetlands constitute a variety of habitats for diverse fauna and flora, some of which are rare or protected.

Designed as a contemplative and educational stopover, this exhibition highlights the beauty and uniqueness of an environment shaped by natural and human history.
