Countryside Home

About

This is a typical and old house in the village of Gassin.
The door frame, in serpentine (like the other entrance door and the window), bears mention of this date.
Acquired by the municipality in 1936, the building, then in ruins, was rebuilt and transformed into a rural community center under the guidance of architect A. Barbier-Bouvet.
The interior was remodeled in 1977 and the building was raised by one story.
The basement level has a barrel vault.
The roof has long slopes and a gable end covered with hollow tiles.
