A preserved island...
Preserved from concrete, favoring soft modes of transport, the island is a true haven of greenery and wild coves sheltering 90% Mediterranean plant species and is a refuge for birds.
The Embiez archipelago is classified as a Natura 2000 zone.
The Natura 2000 network is a collection of European natural sites, both terrestrial and marine, identified for the rarity or fragility of their wild animal and plant species and their habitats. Natura 2000 balances nature conservation with socio-economic concerns. In France, the Natura 2000 network comprises 1,758 sites.

Wild coves
There are no deckchairs or bars on the island's coves and beaches here!
8 main beaches and coves border this little jewel of the Mediterranean, but one cove may hide another; nothing prevents you from discovering your secret spot in the hollow of the rocks.
Each one wilder and more pristine than the last, there's something for everyone: small, sheltered, in the rocks... you'll always find crystal-clear water.
The setting is idyllic, and you could easily imagine yourself as Robin Crusoe on a desert island. Indeed, Les Embiez is rarely crowded, even in peak season, so it's easy to find a secluded spot.
Be aware that some coves require effort to reach; take care when descending the paths.
