The Aix vineyards, the vineyards of the bastides - La Trévaresse and Plateau de Puyricard

Monumental gates, avenues lined with plane trees, vast country houses surrounded by landscaped parks... The elegance of the estates and prestigious wine cellars enhances the landscapes of the Aix countryside.

In the Roques, Chaîne des Côtes, and Trévaresse mountain ranges, the traditional Provençal farmhouses unfold amidst rows of vines and wooded areas. At the edge of the pine and oak forests, a dovecote, a fountain, a chapel... here and there add a delicate touch to this rich architectural and cultural heritage.

Once a place of pleasure and an aristocratic emblem, the Provençal bastide has become a place of history, wine and encounters dedicated to all epicureans.
Head north of the town, bypassing the old town centre via Avenue Victor Hugo, Boulevard du Roi René, Boulevard Carnot, Cours Saint Louis, then right onto Boulevard François et Emile Zola and Avenue Jean Moulin.
Then take the Pinchinants road (RD63c) to the right, which leads you into the Pinchinats valley, a site listed as a historical site and monument since 1969 because "This vast site is representative of the identity of the Aix country countryside: an alternation of cultivated plots, pine forests and groves of green and white oaks, the bastides and their parks, avenues at the entrance of the bastides, some of which are linear trees of the riparian forests and classified as the Château of La Gaude.

At the exit of the valley, take the RD63b on the right towards Venelles.
But at the intersection with the RD13a do not take the direction of Venelles but continue on the RD63b.

About 500m after this intersection, take a small path on the left "chemin des pierres plates".
It leads you directly to the Domaine de l'Olibaou.
The Soriano family has chosen to produce artisanal and natural wines (white, rosé, and red) and olive oil. From cultivating the trees to processing the fruit, all the products offered by Domaine de l'Olibaou are organically grown. As a further guarantee of quality, the harvest is done by hand, in keeping with the purest olive and winemaking traditions, ensuring meticulous selection of the olives used.
Passing through the Venelles sports park, before reaching the village you will find the RD13a. Follow it to the Quatre Tours cooperative winery.
Take the RD13 towards Venelles le Haut. Cross the village towards the Saint Canadet road – RD13.
Turn right towards Saint Canadet – Le Puy Ste Réparade.
The RD13 leads you to several wine estates and their sales cellars: Les Bastides – Château de Fonscolombe and Château Paradis.

Château Paradise:
You can stroll along the vineyard trail, alone or with a guide, discovering the secrets of our winemaking. Informative panels along the way will reveal the history of the vineyard plots, historical sites around the estate, and explanations about the vines, grape varieties, and wines. A trail booklet will be available for children, featuring riddles to solve, coloring pages, and word games.
A short detour via the RD556 to taste the wines of Château Vauclaire.
Return to the intersection of the RD13 with the EDF canal.
From there, by following the canal you can reach the site of the Ste Réparade chapel for a picnic and a breathtaking panorama.
The Via Aurelia, or Aurelian Way, is the name given to the great Roman road on the Mediterranean coast of Roman Italy and ancient Gaul.
Along this Roman road, there are two very particular areas.
Go down the hill, turn left in the village onto the RD15.
At the exit of the village, take the road towards Rognes.
Turn right after the canal, still heading towards Rognes.
About 2km on your left is the Domaine du Tour Campanets.
Two vineyard walks through vineyards and forests (each half an hour).

A change of scenery and atmosphere.
Turn around. At the intersection of the RD15 with the RD14, turn right towards the hamlet of La Cride.
After La Cride on your right Château La Coste:
Wine, art, and architecture: this is the inspired and inspiring triptych of Château La Coste. The estate spans 220 hectares, a veritable amphitheater of vines, olive trees, and truffle oaks, at the heart of which stands a long, minimalist building: the art center designed by Tadao Ando. A reception area, exhibition space, bookstore, and several restaurants, such as La Terrasse, Le Café T. Ando, and Le Restaurant Argentin by master chef Francis Mallmann, set the tone: it's not just the wine that strives for excellence! The corrugated metal winery by Jean Nouvel, the new Pavilion by Renzo Piano, and the art trail through the vineyards featuring renowned artists (Louise Bourgeois, Richard Serra, Jean-Michel Othoniel, Alexander Calder, and others)—the artistic offerings rival the estate's exceptional and organic wines. The latest addition, the luxury hotel Villa La Coste, which houses 28 suites, including ten with a pool, a spa and a gourmet restaurant by Gerald Passedat, completes this unparalleled menu of pleasures!
Leave the estate and turn right onto the RD14 until the intersection with the RD14c.
Turn right. This is the Beaulieu road, where there is a beautiful house, the Château Beaulieu.

Continue until you reach Rognes:
With its excellent exposure and terroir predestined to produce high-quality wines, the vine has retained a prominent place in Rognes:
Adjacent to the Domaine de Naïs, the entrance to Rognes is now dominated by the new building of the cooperative winery "l'Hostellerie des vins de Rognes".
Taking the RD543 at the roundabout, on your left continue your journey through vineyards and oak forest.
Hidden along the winding road are the bastides of Aix: Château Barbebelle and Château Beaupré, which organize jazz concerts.
Continue on the RD543, and after about 6.5 km take the small road to the Seuil on your left towards the Grand St Jean Cemetery.
A road shaded by oaks and pines leads you to the Château of the Seuil.
From April 1st to August 30th, a footpath will soon allow you to discover the most beautiful plots of the Château du Seuil vineyard as well as the Mediterranean forest of holm oaks, white oaks and pines that surrounds it.
The French-style garden, created between 1660 and 1680, shaded by large cedars planted in the 18th century, can be visited by reservation and is open to the public during the "Rendez-vous au jardin" (Garden Rendezvous) on the first weekend of June.

Continue along the Seuil road, and about 3km further on, at Domaine de Belambrée, the winemaker will welcome you for a friendly tasting.
Last stage Château the Bishop. To get there, continue on the
Take the Route du Seuil towards Puyricard until you reach the intersection with the road to the Château d'Alphéran. Turn left. Pass in front of the Château de Grimaldi and the Château d'Alphéran.
At the intersection with the Chemin de la Simone, continue straight ahead on the Chemin de la Quille which becomes the Chemin de la Présidente.
Drive to the intersection with the Lévesque road on the left which leads you directly to the estate.
