From the village square, one only needs to look north to discover the old medieval village of Parage, standing sentinel. Perched on a rocky outcrop, it is dominated by a sturdy keep.
Surrounded by the remains of its double wall, it is entered through fortified gates pierced in the ramparts. One enters the maze of narrow streets and cobbled lanes that climb up to the castle, a veritable belvedere overlooking the valley.

The Argens lands, which nourish many vineyards, and the "Côtes de Provence" wine house have made this village a high place of Provençal viticulture.
