The Paths of the Maures Corniche

De très jolis points de vue sur les îles, le Cap Lardier et le Massif des Maures. Un sentier riche en faune et flore méditerranéenne, avec quelques espèces endémiques protégées tel que la Barbe de jupiter.

THE SITE:
The unique feature of this trail is in the Fenouillet Valley where the vegetation is typical of a Mediterranean riparian forest (Black Alder, White Willow, Black Poplar…), a cool spot much appreciated during the warmer months!

You can choose the long route (8 KM), suitable for hiking/trail running, or shorten it (3 KM) by choosing not to continue towards Pointe du Dattier, but to return to the Fenouillet trail after the first viewpoint.

PARKING: 2 options:
1. Leave Cavalaire towards Rayol-Canadel. 50m after the last roundabout, parking on the right along the RD 559.
Cross the road. Start of the Bonporteau beach trail.
2- Leave Cavalaire towards Rayol-Canadel. Parking 2km on the left. Take the old railway line, park before the tunnel on the left, go through the tunnel on foot and after 200m, turn right.

COURSE :
Duration of the 8 km route: 3 hours. Distance: 8 km. Difficulty: Some challenges due to the steepness of the marked trail. Elevation gain: 360 m.
