The Six-Fours/ST. Raphaël Coastal Cycle Route (V65 of the National Cycle Routes and Greenways Scheme) allows you to travel along much of the Var coastline by the coast or inland following the route of the old Provence railway line and crossing 20 municipalities.
Taking this route means discovering the full diversity of landscapes, the richness of the flora and an exceptional coastal area.
It has expanded over time with new developments. To date, 92 km out of the 120 km have been developed on this route, including 77 km on dedicated cycle paths.
Please note that between Six-Fours and Saint-Raphaël, some sections of the route are not yet finalized and require using parts of busy roads. Carefully check the route status by consulting the map legend for your chosen route.
The section of the Coastal Cycle Route in the municipality of Gassin is divided into several sections on dedicated, shared or existing cycle lanes and in bidirectional project over a length of approximately 9 km.
STARTING POINT / FINISHING POINT
- Continue the cycle route which started from the roundabout on avenue Gourbenet and during the route you pass through the town of Gassin to the roundabout of La Foux on an existing dedicated route for a length of 4.1 km then a small part on a dedicated route but in project to finish in a cycle lane for a length of 1.60 km.
- Starting from the roundabout at La Foux towards St Tropez following the RD98A on a dedicated and shared site for a length of 4 km.
- From the roundabout at La Foux towards Cogolin is part of the planned dedicated route.
PARKING
- Parking at the Gulf of Saint-Tropez Tourist Office
PRECISION
- Cycle path: a dedicated lane reserved for two- or three-wheeled cycles, indicating to pedestrians and drivers of other vehicles that they are not allowed to use this lane or stop there (with the exception of emergency vehicles, fire trucks, police vehicles, service vehicles, and on certain sections, authorized residents and moped riders). In the absence of sidewalks or usable shoulders, non-motorized users (pedestrians, rollerbladers, people with reduced mobility, etc.) must use the left side of the roadway.
- Greenway: dedicated site exclusively reserved for the circulation of non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians (with the exception of emergency vehicles, firefighters, police, service vehicles and on certain sections authorized residents and moped riders).
When the competent police authority also decides to allow the movement of riders there, the sign is supplemented by the supplementary panel “M4y” designating riders.
