Painting in the Bibémus quarries

The Bibémus quarries are a remarkable place where nature has reclaimed its territory. The ancient stone quarries adorn the city of Aix-en-Provence with their warm colors. The harmony between the trees, the stones, the colors, and the light invites contemplation and creativity.
As you walk around, you will discover motifs that inspired Cezanne and you will have the chance to draw and paint in these places.

With teaching methods adapted to all levels and audiences, your instructor, a painter, offers drawing and watercolor classes amidst these exceptional landscapes. Drawing on many years of experience, she will share simple and intuitive tools to sharpen your eye and express your wonder on paper. This activity can be repeated as often as you like; practicing art in contact with nature offers ever-renewed possibilities. Basic materials will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes for walking approximately 2 to 3 km with minimal elevation gain.
