Autrefois Salernes était mondialement réputé pour sa céramique. Aujourd’hui un magnifique musée et les artisans installés dans les ruelles honorent ce glorieux passé. Entouré d'eau et de verdure, on y fait de belles randonnées à pied, à vélo et à cheval.

Located in the Var hinterland, Salernes has skillfully combined water, earth, fire, and the energy of its forests to become the leading center for ceramics. Once world-renowned for its "Salernes tiles," the village is now home to numerous ceramic workshops. Their creations are as colorful as they are original: tableware, jewelry, but also countertops, sinks, tiles, bathtubs, roof tiles, tables, and more.

Surrounded by hills, the village boasts a beautiful natural heritage, offering hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. A visit to the lovely Saint-Barthélémy site is a must.
