The announcement of the Tour's launch has already generated strong international interest, for example, more than 20 million views on X.
The WR Women's Chess Tour 2026 plans to build a structured and active ecosystem throughout the year to promote women's chess, supporting players and increasing their visibility.
In 2026, the circuit will take place across several continents, with stops in Tokyo 6-7.06 (Japan), Punta Cana 1-2.07 (Dominican Republic) and Maputo 21-22.08 (Mozambique), before reaching Europe and Saint-Tropez, one of the most iconic destinations on the French Riviera.
The competition will take place on August 25 and 26, 2026 in the magnificent setting of the Torpez Vineyard in Saint-Tropez.
