Hiking trails on the grounds of Château d'Astros

During your walk, you can admire all the buildings and green spaces classified or registered as Historical Monuments (aqueducts, chapel, castles, dovecote, park, plane tree avenues…)

NB The Saint Lambert Chapel can only be visited by appointment or during heritage days; the Saint Michel Cave is not open to the public because it is dangerous to access and protected under Natura 2000 (protection of bat nests).


The Château d'Astros has created two marked and signposted hiking trails to allow you to explore this beautiful property:

THE DEFFENSON TOUR
>> A 30-minute walk, easy and flat. The path is very suitable for sneakers and easy, even for young children. Follow the signs to avoid getting lost.
This trail will allow you to enjoy the Astros forest before strolling through the Château Neuf park, with a superb view of the building.

THE DEFFENSON SUMMIT
>>Round trip to the summit: 45 minutes of strenuous climbing.
Follow the signs so you don't get lost.
At the summit, superb view over the vineyard and the village of Vidauban.
