Come and discover a range of churches, chapels, oratories or megaliths through a circuit highlighting their historical, cultural, spiritual or architectural interest, offered in the territory of Méditerranée Porte des Maures.

The territory is full of real treasures, some objects even being recognized as Historical Monuments for the quality of their workmanship.
Dedicated to numerous patron saints, these buildings were of crucial importance in the life of rural areas as rare community spaces.
They have witnessed generations and are true testimonies of village life, both past and present.
They still host many local festivities and make them a definitively living heritage.

Whether all at once or in stages, you can easily compose your spiritual and historical journey.

Collobrières
Collobrières has managed to preserve its architectural heritage and authenticity.

Pierrefeu-du-Var
The religious history of Pierrefeu dates back to the year 1048. The original parish church was the Sainte-Croix chapel which adjoined the lord's castle.
The church was damaged several times before being completely destroyed and burned down, along with the castle. A new church had to be found.
A chapel that the penitents had built in 1550 was then used as a parish church.

La Londe-les-Maures
In the hands of the Carthusians of La Verne and other religious orders who settled near La Londe, the territory was developed from the Middle Ages into vast agricultural estates which were succeeded in the Revolution by large bourgeois estates.
These origins explain the presence of numerous wine cellars in the town.
This omnipresence of religion resulted in a limited and very dispersed population and habitat until 1788.
The donation of numerous plots of land by the Allègre family enabled the emergence of the village, whose oldest public building is the church, founded in 1847.

Bormes-les-Mimosas
Medieval churches or chapels, the Château des Seigneurs de Fos, small flowery and shaded alleyways, cuberts and small shops will be revealed as you stroll.

Le Lavandou
Formerly a district of Bormes which became independent in 1913, the village of Lavandou has its own religious and cult buildings.
Some date from the 19th or 20th centuries, such as the Saint-Louis church or the Notre-Dame de l'Annonciation chapel; others are more recent, such as the new Saint-Clair chapel.
